Technical Translation: VARIO Relax Chair
This chair is available with either independent or synchronized section movements, both featuring bilateral controls. A wide range of applicable accessories makes this product highly versatile, meeting the specific needs of every user.
Constructed with a robust powder-coated steel frame, the seat and backrest feature a conifer plywood support. The padding is made of flame-retardant, thermoforming viscoelastic foam, designed for maximum comfort and pressure sore prevention. The armrests, made of soft polyurethane, can be folded down flush with the seat to facilitate patient transfer.
The base and seat covers are in thermoformed ABS for easy cleaning and disinfection. The unit is completed by a pair of swiveling footrests equipped with an automatic braking system to ensure safety during patient egress.
The base features four swivel castors: two rear castors with simultaneous braking and one directional (tracking) wheel. All steel frames are finished with epoxy powder coating treated with an antimicrobial additive.
Movements:
- Hydraulic variable height on castors.
- Independent gas-spring section movements.
- Manually adjustable headrest and armrests.
Patient Access & Ergonomics:A standout feature of the RELAX chairs is the ability to assist the patient with side access and egress; by lowering the comfortable armrests below seat level, these maneuvers are significantly eased for the healthcare provider.
Transport & Stability:A pair of flexible anti-tip footrests, easily retractable and stowable, provide comfortable support during medium-to-long distance transport. By setting the brake control to the horizontal position, the directional wheel mode is activated, ensuring safe and linear steering over long distances.
