GIVAS was born from a division with the main production branch of Vassilli company, continuing to share the same facility of about 1.500 square meters, but designing, producing and marketing medical furniture and equipment for hospitals and rest homes independently. GiVaS acronym was inspired by the names of the founders, the Berto brothers: Gianfranco, Vassilliland Silvio, the current Sole Administrator.
An image of the settlement in the new production plant realized on a surface of 3.500 square meters. Located in a territorially strategic point, and equipped with cutting-edge industrial technologies, the factory was created with the aim of improving the workflow and optimizing the production times of the first hospital aids, entirely realized within GIVAS property.
Interhospital (Hannover - Germany). First participation in a European exhibition. GIVAS presented innovative products in terms of quality and ergonomics, enjoying enormous success on an international level.
GIVAS started marketing its products beyond national borders Through a dense network of European agents and dealers, Givas expanded its market starting to export to various foreign countries such as Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Spain Germany, Serbia, Croatia, Greece and Czech Republic
GIVAS became S.R.L., developing further and establishing itself in a new and larger production area. moving from 3.500 sauare meters (in 1985) to almost 8.000 square meters. It reorganized the production lines with the most modern equipment and assembly lines, obtaining qualitatively better products that met the needs of the Italian and international markets completely
To complete and integrate the rest home sector, GIVAS acquired a new production unit of wooden furniture called STA (Soluzioni Tecniche d'Arredo): a 4.000 sqm carpentry close to GIVAS factory.
GIVAS was among the first companies in the sector to obtain "UNI EN ISO 9001: 2000" Certificate (Quality Certifcation Bureau Italy), a fundamental step in its history Integrating it into the company strategy it would represent a constant and important point of reference for products growth, organizational development and production efficiency.
GIVAS achieves the best sales performance, rising among the top 3 national manufacturers of furniture and medical devices for hospitals and rest homes.
GIVAS Iberica was established with a sales office in Barcelona.
It would represent an important operationa hub managed by Italian personnel, with the function and the goal of creating a concrete point of support for image, sales and assistance for the commercialization of more than 280 types of products all over Spain.
Thanks to the continuous and positive feedback obtained at a national and European level, and believing in the excellence of its products. GIVAS began to expand its boundaries by exporting to non-European markets, pushing towards emerging and in constant economic growth countries such as Russia, Middle East Latin America.
In these territories Givas started becoming well present and known thanks to a concrete and organized commercial network.
GIVAS obtained the environmental certification UNI EN ISO14001: 2015 with which the company would guarantee environmental protection and pollution prevention not only during the production process. but especially in the end-of-life phases of the product thus reducing the environmental impact through the recycling of the various components.
GIVAS completes the construction of a new 3,000 sqm production facility, a strategic project that includes the launch of a modern assembly line, the creation of new sales offices, and the opening of a new showroom, strengthening the company’s growth and production capacity.
