Thanks to this collaboration, we have succeeded in creating a Technological, Intuitive, Ergonomic, and Efficient product capable of simplifying daily care operations, increasing patient autonomy and comfort, and facilitating any sanitization process.
The structure of the Vega containment side rails guarantees full-length protection for the patient, minimizing the risk of limb entrapment in compliance with the IEC EN 60601-2-52 standard. Made of roto-molded polypropylene and mass-painted, they ensure high resistance even when subjected to heavy stress. The specific ergonomic design of the handle facilitates the patient’s independent mobilization, preventing dangerous lifting strain for the caregiver and promoting the patient's rehabilitative and psychological recovery.
The clean, modern lines of the containment area—comprised of headboards and footboards with recessed corners and 4-section side rails—combined with the use of non-toxic materials, make VEGA ideal and versatile even for pediatric environments.
With VEGA, we aim to offer pediatric containment that is consistent with the actual body dimensions of the developmental age. Givas believes that extendable pediatric beds cannot guarantee the same comfort and safety for patients with adult dimensions. Therefore, children with a minimum height of 90 cm can be accommodated by using compensation cushions to reduce the size of the sleeping surface, as shown in the diagram.
The nighttime hours are the most sensitive time for caregivers, who must ensure maximum safety for the patient. Incorrect height and section positioning are the main causes of accidental falls when a patient attempts to exit the bed. Now, with Vega, a simple glance is enough to understand if the bed is configured in the safest position for the night.
In SAFE MODE, a GREEN LED light under the bed projects a beam onto the floor, immediately signaling to the operator that VEGA is correctly positioned. Otherwise, the light beam will be RED.
SAFE POSITIONVEGA will project a GREEN light when in the following configuration:
- Fully leveled sleeping surfaces
- Minimum height elevation reached
The omission of any of the above settings will activate the RED light.
POD ControlPOD Control is much more than just a Supervisor for controlling bed functions and movements; it is a comprehensive monitoring system for all bed functionalities required by hospital nursing teams and operators.
