VIRGO SLIM
Narrow electric bed, variable height on compass-linkage system
Specifically designed for use in areas with limited maneuvering space and narrow ward entrances, Italian manufacturing excellence, developed and perfected over decades.
The Virgo series represents a significant innovation in safety, comfort, and functionality—essential features for managing inpatient care spaces. Its modular components ensure seamless assembly and allow the bed to be easily configured to meet the specific needs of any hospital ward. Control devices are designed to assist staff during routine care and emergencies, featuring intuitive Trendelenburg and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) functions.
This is a 4-section electric hospital bed featuring an auto-regression backrest (rototraslabile). The system is powered by a set of four IPX6-rated electric motors, ensuring maximum safety and a wide range of movements:
- Base Motors: Two motors concealed by a standard ABS shroud work in sync for height adjustment and asynchronously for Trendelenburg and Reverse-Trendelenburg movements.
- Platform Motors: Actuators located under the mattress platform control the backrest and thigh sections.
- Sections: The pelvic section is fixed, while the leg section is adjusted via a six-position semi-automatic rack.
The backrest is equipped with a quick-release emergency mechanism. Standard equipment includes a wired handset, a backup battery, and an ACO (Attendant Control Open) control box for movement management and lockout functions. All plastic surfaces are engineered for easy cleaning and high-level disinfection.
The 4-section split side rail system (Vega model) provides full-length protection, minimizing the risk of limb entrapment in compliance with the IEC 60601-2-52 standard.
- Material: Made of mass-dyed, rotationally molded polypropylene, ensuring high resistance to heavy stress.
- Ergonomics: The ergonomic handle design facilitates patient self-mobilization, reducing manual handling risks for caregivers and promoting the patient’s rehabilitative and psychological recovery.
