SLIM
2-section stretcher, variable height, with vertical compass side rails
The SLIM series stretchers are the result of extensive research into functionality, ergonomics, and the specific demands of diverse clinical settings. The adjustable height feature streamlines patient transfers between any ward environment and diagnostic equipment.
FRAME & STRUCTURE
The frame is constructed from heavy-gauge steel profiles with rounded corners and wide-radius bends. It features an epoxy powder coating, specifically selected for this application due to its high mechanical resistance and superior protection against corrosion and aggressive chemical agents used for hospital disinfection and maintenance.
MATTRESS PLATFORM
The 4-section mattress platform is proportionally sized to enhance patient comfort.
- Material: 10 mm HPL (High-Pressure Laminate), fully radiolucent.
- Fixing: Secured to the lower frame with self-locking flush-mount screws.
- HPL Composition: High-pressure laminate produced in accordance with UNI EN 438:2019, featuring a kraft paper core impregnated with phenolic resins and a decorative outer layer of aminoplastic resins, thermally bonded under high pressure.
- Standards Compliance: Tested according to UNI EN 438:2019, EN ISO 178, ISO 1183-1, EN 12664:2001, and ASTM D696-16.
- Operating Surface: 2000 x 650 mm.
RADIOLUCENCY & FLUOROSCOPY
The total absence of structural elements between the platform and the cassette holder (potter) allows for standard chrome-plated rails along the entire longitudinal area. This enables total-body X-ray imaging without moving the patient in critical situations.
- C-Arm Accessibility: The dual lifting columns at the ends of the frame create a large clear area beneath the platform, allowing C-arm image intensifier access from both sides.
- Fluoroscopy Surface: 1500 x 445 mm.
INTEGRATED SIDE RAILS
Equipped with total-disappearance vertical-drop side rails with dampened movement.
- Operation: One-handed operation by a single caregiver; gas-spring damping prevents sudden impact and finger-trapping.
- Construction: Made of FV30 polypropylene with soft, anti-trauma integral polyurethane handrails.
- Safety: Flush-mount design ensures no obstruction during lateral patient transfers.
- Dimensions: Height from platform: 375 mm; Length: 1425 mm; Vertical bar spacing: 235 mm.
- Locking: Secured in the upright position by a quick-release safety locking system for emergency access.
MOVEMENTS & ADJUSTMENTS
- Height Adjustment: Variable from 58 cm to 88.7 cm via a dual-column telescopic hydraulic system. The columns are hermetically sealed with an IP64 protection rating.
- Trendelenburg/Reverse-Trendelenburg: Actuated via bilateral foot pedals on the base.
- Backrest: Driven by dual gas pistons, actuated by a full-perimeter grab-bar at the head end.
- Section Details: Fixed pelvic section to prevent abdominal compression; gas-spring assisted leg section with bilateral levers; foot section adjustable via a semi-automatic 6-position dual rack. Includes two mattress-retainer rails on the foot section.
BUMPERS & PROTECTION
- Lateral Bumpers: Standard oval-section epoxy-coated steel bars with soft, non-marking plastic protection along the entire length.
- 4-Corner Protection: ABS end-covers featuring four Ø 100 mm non-marking rubber bumper wheels and four integrated sockets for I.V. poles or accessories.
BASE & MOBILITY
The base is protected by a thermoformed plastic shroud, easy to clean and featuring:
- Oxygen Cylinder Holders: Dual slots for 3/7/10-liter tanks with securing straps.
- Storage: Integrated compartment for belongings/clothing.
- Castors: Four Ø 200 mm non-marking swiveling castors on ball bearings.
- Option A: 4 wheels (1 directional, 2 antistatic).
- Option B: 4 wheels + 5th wheel system.
- Braking: Simultaneous 4-wheel braking via bilateral pedals at all four corners.
HYGIENE & ASEPSIS
- Drainage: Full-drainage design prevents fluid stagnation.
- Antimicrobial Treatment: All coating materials are treated with Biomaster 999 silver-ion additive.
- Efficacy: Lab-tested (IMSL) for high bactericidal action: Staphylococcus aureus 99.9%, E. coli 90.8%, Pseudomonas aeruginosa 92.4%.
