Variable-height overbed table for the Copernico series, with pull-out tray and tilt-top adjustment

COPERNICO is the new hospital overbed table manufactured by GIVAS. It features a monolithic structure with integrated storage compartments and bottle holders, all produced through rotational molding.
The use of ROTOMOULD technology allows for a design with smooth, seamlessly radiused surfaces. This results in a structural and functional form free of gaps or joining lines between parts, where the use of external hardware and accessories has been reduced to a minimum.
The trolley's design is rational and compact; both the storage compartments and the tray are monolithic, perfectly integrating all functions intended to provide comfort to the bedridden patient while simultaneously ensuring easy and thorough cleaning operations.

Technical Specification: Overbed Table with Integrated Storage

The overbed table with integrated storage incorporates several advanced features:

Adjustable Tray: A drop-leaf tray complete with a built-in cup holder, adjustable in height, length, and tilt. It is mounted on an extruded aluminum column with a 7 kg load capacity. Tray dimensions: W 60 x D 39 x H 4 cm. The tray features 23 cm of longitudinal sliding travel and can be tilted into 3 lectern-style positions (max 45°).
Storage Unit: A polyethylene side container featuring a series of anti-tip bottle holders and storage compartments, two cup holders, and spacious bins for newspapers and personal items.
Height Adjustment: The overbed column is operated via a pneumatic pump, allowing for full height adjustment of the assembly. This ensures accessibility even for patients in modern motorized beds at their maximum elevation.
Ambidextrous Design: The trolley base features a contoured design that integrates with the bedside cabinet base. By means of a 180-degree rotation, the unit can be coupled to either the right or left side of the cabinet, making it fully reversible to suit any room layout.
Finish and Materials: The unit is finished in light gray for the top and structure, with a darker gray container for visual contrast; the side band is made of painted sheet metal.
Antimicrobial Structure: The frame is constructed from steel, finished with thermosetting epoxy powder coating containing an antimicrobial additive.
Tray Construction: The tray is molded in non-toxic, double-shell thermoformed ABS. It features anti-trauma rounded corners, beveled edges, and is scratch and impact-resistant. The interior is filled with polyurethane foam and is complete with a raised spill-containment rim and cup holder.
Castors: The base is equipped with four Ø 75 mm twin-wheel swivel castors with noise-reducing soft rubber treads.
